GlobalPhone Implements Total-e Customer Care And Billing Platform

New Billing System Provides A Carrier Grade, Scalable, Robust, And Flexible Platform For Telecommunications

For Immediate Release, June 14, 2006 (Falls Church, Virginia) - GlobalPhone Corporation, a facilities-based global telecommunications supplier, implements a powerful new billing system from MTS. The new system significantly eases invoicing, provides excellent financial management, and strengthens the company's superior customer service with reliable software.

The invoicing module compiles, generates, and summarizes all the elements that are to appear on a customer's bill, such as recurring charges, usage charges, one-time charges, and credits. One consolidated bill is generated per customer, including charges for all the services the customer has used. Bills are often generated automatically, as the billing system has the ability to run periodic billing automatically and even, if required, billing by demand.

The customer service representative (CSR) interface provides a complete view of the customer's account, including the most recent customer activities, account balance, payment, other financial transactions (e.g. adjustments, credits, debits, etc.), and customer history. Outside of business hours, the Total-e Web-enabled self-service module provides customers with secure access to their own personal information using any standard Internet browser. Customers have instant access to information such as call details, current account balance, and payment/invoice history. A link is also available for customers to update their account information, allowing them to change their password, update their contact information, and update their billing address.

The Total-e Accounts Receivable module handles all of the financial aspects of the customer accounts.  This includes billing results (commercial invoices), credited and debited items, payment collection, cash application, and balance management treatment. The module reports every financial transaction that occurs within the system, providing an accurate, comprehensive, and clear picture of an account’s open balance. The module supports the definition of various treatment plans and their application to bad debt accounts according to predefined parameters. Also, the module includes credit limit monitoring that continuously checks the unbilled amount of the calls made by the customers and acts accordingly (e.g. can bar the service).
